The NFL Alumni is comprised of two distinct non-profit membership organizations, the NFL Alumni Association and NFL Alumni Charities. The NFL Alumni serves its retired player members and their families through the NFL Alumni Association and supports youth and community charities through NFL Alumni Charities

The NFL Alumni Association is a 501(c)(5) organization that serves as a passionate advocate for greater quality of life benefits for all former NFL players. The Association eagerly pursues greater benefits and the implementation of programmatic services devoted to enhancing the health, productive acuity of retired NFL players and their families.
NFL Alumni Charities is a 501(c)(3) corporation with a mission of serving and supporting youth-oriented charitable causes. NFL Alumni Charities advances its mission of Caring for Kids through hundreds of fundraising, community service and social events each year. Through its national office and local chapters across the country, NFL Alumni Charities has raised and donated millions of dollars for America’s youth and community charities. Board of Directors Both the NFL Alumni Association and NFL Alumni Charities are governed by a nine-member Board of Directors comprised of retired player members. Five members of the Board of Directors serve as Joint Directors on both the Association and Charity Boards. Led by a retired NFL player in Executive Director and President George Martin and governed by a Board of Directors composed of former NFL players makes the NFL Alumni the only organization wholly organized, governed, managed and led by its retired player members

Membership Requirements

You can join the NFL alumni one of two ways. If you have ever been paid by a major league professional football team you are eligible to become a Professional Member. If you did not play professional football but support the organization’s goals and want to take part in its activities, you are eligible to become an Associate Member. All NFL Alumni members share a commitment to advance the organization’s missions of Caring for its Own and Caring for Kids.

Community Involvement Whether it’s participating in one of the NFL Alumni's Charity Golf Classics or visiting a children's hospital during Youth of America Week, you can be as active as you like in important youth and charity work. The NFL Alumni carries on a comprehensive year-round program of local and national activities. These activities not only enhance the lives of young people, they offer role models for today's youth.

We welcome and encourage you to become a member if you're interested in our mission. If you would like to contribute to the success of our team you will need to do two things. First... you must be a dues paying member. This applies to everyone with no exceptions. Former NFL players are required to be dues paying members even to participate in celebrity golf functions as the celebrity. It is important that we are all on the same team and have made that commitment. Second... contact Tom Baugh, (Membership Director for the KC Chapter). Tom will provide you with additional information on what to expect and will be interested to know in what capacity you would like to participate. We have very casual members who pay dues and that is their contribution. We have others who are involved only when events arise, and we have committees which require leadership and direction. The level of participation is totally up to you. Tom wants to know, so that we can best utilize your talents and make your experience a positive and rewarding one.
